The Subashiri trail at a glance
Start at Subashiri 5th Station—2,000 meters above sea level
The trail for ascent is different from the trail for descent. In the section between the 8th station and the summit, trails for both ascent and descent are the same as those of the Yoshida Trail.
（Characteristics of the Subashiri Trail）
１．The forest stretches up to high altitudes, protecting you from the sun while climbing.
２．Once you leave the forest, you can see the sunrise and the shadow of Mt. Fuji from anywhere.
３．There is a "sunabashiri" trail that descends in a straight line on a volcanic gravel descent path.
４．The trail to the top and the trail to the descent are separate. The section from the eighth station to the summit merges with the Yoshida Trail.
Be careful not to get lost at night or in thick fog as visibility is poor in the forest.

標高の高い位置まで樹林帯が広がっており、登山中の日差しから守られる。
樹林帯を抜けると、どこからでもご来光や影富士が見られる。
火山砂利の下山道を一直線に下る「砂走り」がある。
登山道と下山道が別。本八合目から山頂までの区間は吉田ルートと合流。
樹林帯では見通しが効かないため、夜間や濃霧時は道に迷わないように注意。

Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Mount Fuji clothing notes: Even in summer, the temperature is about 10°C to 15°C, so please bring a light jacket. In winter, the temperature drops to -9°C to -15°C, so warm clothes are essential. The schedule may change depending on weather and traffic conditions.
